An intense scrapping session.

I can't believe I scrapped 2 layouts and 3 smash pages today! It was intense, one after another, but I love it. Took my mind off work for a total of 4 hours! Hooray!

Scrapped a happy cheery layout for my class last year. I love the bright kiddy feel.

Another 2 pages for my Smash album. Featuring my birthday celebration with Michael. Totally heart the washys that frames the polaroid.

Oh... Did I say I had a haircut? A smash page dedicated to that. I admit, its a little self-absorbed. hehe!

This was a last minute thing intended for a colleague for her birthday in October. Haven't wrote the message, but the structure is out. :)

I can't believe that my Smash Album Cover is featured in the MWL blog!!! I'm so happy as this means so much to me! Even though it is still like a beginner kind of thing, but it really means alot to me. Motivating me to keep scrapping. Thanks MWL!

First smashing attempt

Finally started on smashing today. The smash album will be recording snippets of day to day activities in my life. Basically, it gonna be a celebration about me. Hahaha. Am I sounding too self-absorbed? Anyway, my ultimate hope for the smash album is to further my horizon in scrapbooking. Will be aiming to try different styles and techniques in the album.

This is the album cover. I used all my washys in my drawer for the background.

Started the album with photos of my birthday celebration (which just happened 2 weeks ago).
What a great way to begin this album.

Only had time to finish scrapping the photos taken in school. There's more to come, so stay tuned!

First Scrap Night.

First scrap night. I kept to my promise. Last night, I completed the layouts that I did in Paper Market - Girlfriends (by Merdrey). Intending to give to 4 of my close friends since polytechnic days (7 years now). Wow...  it has been so long, and I'm thankful that we have not lost contact with one another. In fact, we have been meeting up quite often. This year, we also decided to celebrate one another's birthday with a hotel stay. How cool is that? This coming weekend will be my hotel stay in Grand Park Hotel. Thus, I intend to give them these layouts as a form of appreciation.

Great Friends... (AGG is our clique name back when we were younger). Hahaha! Any idea what it stands for?

when i think of good times, i think of you.

This weekend is also Michael's birthday. I bought him a KindleFire but it hasn't arrived in SG yet. *Sob Sob* So what I did was to have a cardboard kindle fire as a replacement. Hahaha. (I know it sounds a little silly). But I placed it in an envelop so that he doesn't know what it is. At least, he can anticipate the real KindleFire when it arrives. I also did a little "birthday memos" so that we can remember what we did on his birthday.

The Cardboard KindleFire is in the envelope. Heehe. Surprise Surprise!

The birthday memo that I was talking about. Each page explained what we will do on his birthday.

That's all for this week. Really looking for a great birthday weekend with Michael. :)

Just some ramblings to start off...

Here I am... Starting a blog to record my scrapping journey. It has been a year now and what started as a random hobby has progressed to a dream, an inspiration, and a way of life. I am still an amateur and gets impressed by the great things done creatively by the amazing people I have encountered. Yet, it is my deepest desire to start to create things that are (as the page says) "uniquely mine". I know I'm not quite there yet, but I see myself growing and learning each day. The challenge is time... but I guess that's the same complaint that all scrappers out there are shouting out. If I can quit my current job and scrap full time, I guess I would. (1 more year before my bond as a preschool teacher ends - counting down). Even now, while writing this post, I am uploading the activity photos for my class blog. *sighs*. It is not that I don't enjoy my job, but the thing is that I enjoy scrapping more. Anyway, no point rambling about things that I cannot change (at least for the remaining 1 year of my bond). I made a promise to myself to scrap at least one night per week. Hope I can keep this promise. Will be uploading past and new projects whenever I have the time. Stay tuned for more...
